León has high-speed rail to Madrid, the province's main hospital and one of the busiest stages of the Camino de Santiago. The work splits between business travel, hospital appointments and pilgrims arriving on foot with a backpack.

El Bierzo is closer to Galicia than to its own provincial capital, and that shapes the service: depending on the flight, we head up to Barajas along the A-6 or down to Santiago and Vigo. Visiting Las Médulas is the other constant, because no public transport reaches them.

Astorga is where the Camino Francés meets the Vía de la Plata, half an hour from León on the A-6. The most requested services are stage transfers — backpacks included — and motorway pickups for people connecting with the coach.
